RMS Store of Reno Nevada
by GinDaHouse
I just wanted to give Eric a HUGE thumbs up on a 6-6-09 Sale. He went above and beyond to get me into some hand gaurds for, of all things, my street bike. Factory had white, I needed black, he let me switch out the plastic without paying the the additional $20.00 plus. Had I had to purchase the additional plastic at $20.00 plus, my bill would have gone over $140.00 and I would not have purchsed them at all. In today's economy every $$$ counts. Good Job Eric!
As for previous comments. I have to agree and refute several points. I've been buying there since Paul Mudd ( I think that's his name) and a younger tall blonde boy worked there. I think the tall blonde boy was fired for skimming off the top, not sure; rumor. I've put a few thousand $$$ through the store between outfitting my family in dirt gear, and buying street stuff. ANYWAY, every time a young employee serves me, I've been 90% satisfied and usually get the some % off price. NOT ONCE HAS ONE OF THE OWNERS GIVEN ME A FREQUENT FLYER DISCOUNT. FURTHER MORE, I FEEL AS IF I SHOULD FEEL OBLIGED TO BE SHOPPING THERE WHEN A OWNER HELPS ME.
Owners: Not sure if ends are meeting, but time to go back to how you got to where you are. Just my 2 cents. Please acknowledge Eric and get him a Super Buritto on you.
To Eric and former employees: Here's to you!!!
FYI: I am not nor have ever been family/personal friends with any of your employees.
- Pros: When they are on, they are the Best!
- Cons: Price good once bad next.

I took my forks in for my 02' CR (leaking right seal) on a Saturday. Had my forks back by Monday and was on the trail for a 1/2 hour ride that afternoon. Friday I go out to get on my bike and fork oil is all over my floor (left fork this time). I called them up and was asked to bring it in. 2 hours later I am told the guy that did them missed a knick on the slider tube when cleaning up my forks. A knick? From what? I have fork gaurds and the left fork never had an issue previously! Why would it have a knick? Again, I go home and put on the fork and take the bike out for about 15 minutes. 2 days later I go out to get my bike ready for a ride and AGAIN, fork oil on the floor from the left fork. Again, I took it to them and they "fixed" it. I am currently in the wait and see phase on round 3. No leaks yet, "knock on wood!" My rating for this incident is 3 stars since they did make my situation somewhat a priority. However, I should not have needed to return for a second, much less third time.
Today I called them to see how much to mount a set of tires on my Harley. They said it would cost $120 because I didn't buy the tires there! Well excuse me but the tires had been given to me. Not only that but it's not like I am a new customer. That was the final straw and I will never buy anything from RMS again. For good prices and free shipping people should check out MotoSport Outlet and consider doing your own work. My rating for this incident is 1 star for trying to rip me off.
Note: 2 Cycle oil is $8 more per gallon at RMS ($24.95) than Big Valley Honda ($16.95).
Also, born2ski1isadouche needs to grow up. I'm guessing your around 12 and don't have a clue.
- Pros: Fast service...
- Cons: Not quality work, expensive parts/accessories...

This shop is the best in town and its weird the do a complete tune-up when they say they are (i.e. oil change and spark plug)
its a shop for riders (that know what they are talking about) by riders (that know what they are talking about)........
BORN2SKI1 IS A DOUCHE!!!!
sell the atv's you dont deserve to ride anything!!!!!!
- Pros: shop ran by riders
- Cons: they let people like born2ski1 in the shop!!!!!
Great shop!

Geez, $180 for a tune-up is pretty much going rate and you got the valves done!
Either s@ck it up or do it your self.
These guys are the best in town!

They treat you like your in their family. They change a tire for me while I waited for a unheard of price. They have more tires and the best service in Nevada!
- Pros: They have everything
- Cons: They need more room for more street stuff
Screwed me over on service of ATVs
by born2ski1
tune up they will tell you includes oil change but when you pick up your machine they will over charge you for the oil (9.33) per quart for 10w 40 and put in a spark plug to replace the new one that was already in it at the tune of 15.95. so their good price of 180 on a tune up and valve adjustment isn't so good when you consider the week wait and $50 in extra charges that weren't needed. NOTE. nowhere did I request an oil change or a new plug on the paper work but they performed these tasks anyway. BUYER BEWARE !!!!!definately appies to Reno Motosports. The manger on duty made no attept to rectify or satisfy us on this matter. Reno Motorsports owes me $100 for the 2 machines I had serviced.
- Pros: parking, location, and prices over the phone
- Cons: actual prices and unnecesary work performed drives up pricing
