Upscale hotel chain pampers business and leisure travelers with plentiful amenities and many of the comforts of home.

In Short
The first Hilton opened its doors back in 1919 in Cisco, Texas. Known for its commitment to hospitality, the popular luxury hotel has expanded to more than 500 locations worldwide. Standard room amenities include high-speed Internet access, work desks, coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, and more. Guests who want to stick to their exercise regime can enjoy a fitness room, pool and even a personal trainer.

Horrible!

by TigerLily

Terrible service. Reservations not honored. (Reservations made 3 wks in advance, for a double, but were forced to stay in a single. Somehow, they expected 4 adults to sleep in a room designed for 2. BTW, they ran out of roll away beds, so all they had to offer, bedding-wise, were just sheets. No blankets or pillows. There seemed to be a shortage of ordinary hotel items.) Does not live up to standards expected of a Hilton Hotel. Service equated that of a Motel 6. Do not stay at this hotel--you will be severely disappointed. A happy weekend ruined by their calous service.

The old MGM Grand

by peterbehle_citysearch

This place is great. I remember the old days when it was the MGM and packed with Oscar statues. With the jai alai court in the back. Even now, there's bowling, a driving range, tons of shopping. The rooms are nice and the suites are outrageous. Rates are a bargain on weekdays.

  • Pros: Bargain room rates
  • Cons: Almost too huge
