I am a new~2~the~area diver... Tropical Penguin's staff was extremely helpful with pointing out the area's "hot dive spots" and they offer a WIDE range of classes, gear, and the knowledge 2 go along w/ all that! Not to mention, they're the only dive shop, w/in any reasonable driving distance, capable of servicing any/all your dive gear (new and/or old)!! Thanx again Penguins!

The WORST!. I took a scuba class and Tropical Penguin Scuba always has one excuse after another for why I do not have my certification card. They blame PADI (the certification agency) and say they been sent in, but that PADI is slow and sometimes holds them up. I called PADI and they denied this and said the owner Kevin Schwartz and Tropical Penguin Scuba have been permanently expelled and is not authorized to teach for them. Apparently only 4 stores in the United States have ever been expelled and they are one of them. I know of other divers that also have the same problem and get one excuse after another. Upon some research I have since learned they have been sued many times and have a BBB rating of "F".. I will never go to Tropical Penguin Scuba again.

Terrible service!. Worst possible service and rude. They lost all of our gear that was in for service, highly recommend you go somewhere else!

Friendly, inviting and experts on gear!. I cannot say enough how impressed I am with the staff at Penguin - they were all friendly and inviting when I entered the store, and fit me to the right gear! I was very impressed with how much they knew about the current equipment in the market, and upcoming changes for next year. They had great trip possibilities, and a lot of prior trip knowledge for where else go go dive.

I will be back there for my next purchase!
