Disapointing

I tried to eat there again this evening. Apparently there were no assigned tables for the waiters, because everyone in the place kept asking me if I was ready to order. I know I'm slow, but that's my privilege, I'm the one with the money. It wasn't all that crowded, me and one other man comprised the entire crowd. I finally ordered War Won Ton soup. I'm not sure what I got, but it wasn't War Won Ton. Unclear soup with a slightly off-putting odor containing about six vastly overcooked wonton (falling apart over cooked) stuffed with over-salted pork gristle. There was some meat, but it was hardly noticeable between the salt and the gristle. Lots of napa cabbage and, I think it was spinach. No egg, corn, mushrooms, pork slices, chicken or any of the other things I expect in Wor Won Ton soup. The beef and scallions had no scallions, juvenile onions were used, and the beef, even though pounded and sliced, was very hard to chew. The garlic chicken was quite good. The rice was at least a day old (faint stale scent) and I was served hard, dried-out crusty bits that hurt my teeth. They didn't seem concerned that I had a lousy dining experience. I am really disappointed to have a restaurant this close to home, that serves such poor quality food.
- Pros: Close to my home
- Cons: Everything else
Best Chinese in Town Just Got the Best Sushi
by mthom786 at Citysearch
We used to love this restaurant for it's authentic and gourmet chinese food, then we moved to California for 15 years. We just moved back and this restaurant is still here! More importantly, it's just like we remembered it- the best chinese restaurant hands down, plus a Sushi Bar we tried the other night and just loved. What stood out most was the high quality fish they had which we had trouble finding at other sushi bars in town as well as a full DIM SUM menu that's included in the All you Can Eat Package! It's hard to believe you get all this for such a modest price.
- Pros: High quality Food, Fresh Fish
- Cons: Sometimes there's a wait
You forgot the Sushi !!

I visited this resturant once for the sushi I saw advertised on the outdoor sign. Though my wife said she didn't like the smell when we first walked in, we and our friend really enjoyed the ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI BAR and our Sushi Chef, Moses. As good as any of the 6-7 we've tried in Reno-Sparks, and better than the Hilton by far.
- Pros: priced reasonably
