John Cassani , an incompetent doctor.. John Cassani is an incompetent doctor. he is busy with his career advancement plans, always in a rush and does not have enough time for his patients. My wife has a car door accident on her finger. We got an appointment to see him after three weeks. When we finally got to see him, his first question was why did we take so long to come. He should have known that he in the first case is only 3 days a week in the clinic, second you do not get appointments that easy or soon. His treatment was nothing for the swelling. He said just leave it , it will fix itself., he did not even think of putting a splint. After 8 months we went again since the swelling did not come down and this time we were seen by a part time doctor in his place since he was spending even more time on other ventures. The part time doctor had the courtesy to refer to an orthopedic doctor. We did see the orthopedic doctor and his first diagnosis was a split would have helped if it was put on at the right time which apparently was when we visited John cassani. Now he has totally moved into another field of his interest and he has appointed a new doctor in his place. I believe being a doctor is a noble profession.My father is a doctor and i have seen the commitment he has towards their patients. John Cassani lacks that totally. Even when the insurance pays for all he charges , i do not see why he would not bother to take every care possible. Even when he has nothing to loose and also gets paid for his services.

Poor Patient Service. I was seen by Dr. Ed Simon on Monday January 20th, 2009 for sever back pain we agreed I should be referred to a back specialist, Dr. Simon said he would have his referral person Chris make the referral appointment and contact me. I figured 2 to 3-days max. On Thursday I began calling the Eastern Sierra Medical Group office as my lower back discomfort is increasing, I left a message for their referral person Chris and no call back. Friday I left another message and no call back!

Has the medical profession become so callus as to ignore the needs of persons seeking medical treatment? Are the procedures for referrals so burdensome that it cannot be done in a timely manor? I guess my option is to go to the emergency room at a cost of sever thousand dollars, or to suffer as I have been and take a more manageable option, which is to find a Family Physician with a staff that really cares for their patient and their needs.

Eastern Sierra Medical is incompetent. The staff at Eastern Sierra Medical is incompetent and disorganized. They will lose your file, test results, and anything else they might have access to. It is nearly impossible to get test results or feedback from the Doctor because the staff is incapable of relaying messages to her. It's pretty sad when the doctor has to help the staff take payments, coordinate schedules and search for files. These people are ridiculous. It is a waste of time to go here.

Excellent Medical Care. Eastern Sierra Medical Group is a great place to go for your healthcare needs. Dr. Edward M. Simon is a very compassionate and caring physician, who will actually listen to what the patient has to say and is quite candid with the diagnosis/prognosis and will take the time to answer your questions and explain in detail the why and how. Dr. Simon has been my attending physician for more than 6 years now and I strongly recommend him.
