I don't rcommend this PN. My first vist with Pn Swartz she was very rude short and made me feel stupid because did'nt remember the doseage and names of all my meds, the meds cause you to have aniexty and her abrutive behavior made me so uncomfortable. I only visited this office twice both times I left with reminders to sick on the fridge yet she states I dont have memory problems. Even though I had five seizures in one day in the emergengy room she's connected with and she sent for my discharge paper's which Emergency confirmed I was having grand mal seizures he sas i don't have epilepsy. Please never go here if your havng seizure's but your EEG's are normal. you'll be in tears and more confused then when you walked in the door.
My child was overmedicated. Do not visit Dr. Schwartz. Our visit with Dr. Schwartz was our second PN. We were pleased with the time she allotted us with our 5 year old son. However she increased his dosage from 10ccs per day to an overnight 20ccs per day. Then when there was no improvement and we made a phone call she wanted us to increase it to 25ccs per day., then to 35ccs per day (all within 10 days). We refused until we received his "levels". We immediately sought out a third PN in Pasadena. When our son was admitted to be reviewed the Pharmacy at Huntington memorial would not fill the prescription for our son. They said that it was an overmedicated dose for his age and weight. And this was at 25ccs per day! What I've learned: if a drug doesn't work, it doesn't work. Dr. Mindy Schwartz failed my son and my family. I would deter any family from visiting her.
Very Kid Friendly. Dr Schwartz was my son't Dr. for 2 years. He has thankfully, grown out of his from of Epilepsy. I saw a review that described her as "Stoic", I just wanted to say, I found this never to be the case with my son-or myself. She took time to answer questions, make sugestions, etc. When he had a seizure at school & they tried to tell me he HAD to be hospitalized, I called the office, not knowing what to do and they took the time to let me know it was ok to go into the E.R. & tell them I didn't need him to be treated. He wasn't new to seizures & had a DR. They also told me if I had any probs getting him released, to just call & Dr. schwartz would get it straightened out. We just had a very good experience there & never found any staff to be rude.
Great Dr.. Great Dr. and very friendly staff. Changed the course of my treatment for the better. I had gotten very poor treatment for other Dr.s in the area prior and found her to be excellent. I find her to be a very good listener.
Caring Neurologist and epileptologist.
Dr. Schwartz has been the neurolgist and epileptologist for two of our family members. I have found her to be caring and very open to discuss current and alternative therapies. She seems to enjoy the investagative approach.
Her staff has been cordial and prompt.
No more bedside manner. My first experience with this office was a very abrupt and rude office staff individual who began preaching to me about how I should know exactly all mg of drugs I'm taking (very condescending and berating). She did finally apologize, but I felt visits from that point were adversarial at best. Dr Mindy herself was very stoic and didn't give my case the seriousness and attention I believed needed for some kind of cure. Throughout the many tests that were taken, medical regimes were experimented with to come up with a sollution to a problem that was still between both of us unknown.
