Kicked Me, my pregnant wife and our 2 year old off the deck!. I have been a faithful Silver Peak patron for going on 6 years now, as the food was always adequate and the service decent. Mostly, however, was because they had a deck when the weather was nice. Well, recently, they treated us SO poorly that I will never return.

My wife, my 2 year old daughter and I went on a sunny afternoon, and grabbed a table on the deck. We asked a waitress if they had a high chair for our daughter. She didn't get it for me but just told me where they were (so they knew we were there). We waited ten minutes, while another table sat down right next us and were given menus. When I finally waved down a waiter, a manager came over and told us that now one knew we were there (lie) and they were expecting a big group in 40 MIN. and couldn't serve us on the deck (meanwhile the table next to us were receiving waters. She said she could seat us inside, or we could leave.

1) They ignored us for 10 minutes and then refused to commit to serving us in 40 MIN.

2) They were happy to serve other non-Jewish, non-parents on the deck. Who arrived after us

3) They lied about not seeing us (as I spoke w/a waitress and pointed out our table)

4) They basically told us "Go inside or LEAVE"

We left. I can't remember being treated more poorly in my life. Reno is growing and there are a slew of new places that we'll be happy to spend our money at. We are social people and travel in large groups and It's my new mission in life to make sure everyone know how they treated us. Our child is well behaved, so that wasn't an issue. I don't know if it's because I'm Jewish or because we had a child or just because they wanted to treat us like a-holes, but that's the last chance they'll have to kick this diner around.

Hidden hot spot!. The locals will probably hate me for giving this place away, but it is truly not a place to be missed! I have a lot of wonderful memories here of drinking beer at sunset out on the open upstairs deck of this brewery. The wheat beer is so smooth, that even beer haters (like me) will enjoy it. Please know...this is not your typical american beer. Germans and Belgians at my job go here regularly! Happy hour should not be missed. The food is as good as the beer, and is half price during happy hour.

They have a full service bar, and serve more than just beer.

There is a nice, full service restaurant inside with wonderul cuisine.

Parking is difficult, and I would recommend car pooling or sharing a cab...as you will probably be tempted to drink more than one of their smooth, flavorful beers.

A must see/drink.
