never left unhappy. I have been a client at L'essence Salon for 10 years now and have never left unhappy. My stylist, Jeannie has been doing my hair for the last couple of years now and I LOVE the way she does my color. She does a nice cut as well. I have also received massage services (Desiree is awesome), facials, eye brow waxing, pedicures and have always left a happy, pampered camper.

Wonderful!. I have been going there for salon services for over a year now. I see Michelle and she is wonderful. She is amazing at the brows and the facials are lovely.

I had the best stylist, my hair looked great. I live in Texas and made a reservation over the phone to get my hair styled here as we were getting married in a very simple ceremony in Reno. I had the best stylist, my hair looked great and I really enjoyed my time here. My "home" salon is an Aveda salon and I was not dissapointed.

have not had a bad experience since. Alright, where to begin with this place! I have been going here for about a year and a half and have not had a bad experience since. I see Amber (hairstylist) and she has done a phenomenal job. I usually just tell her an idea of what I want and then tell her to do whatever she wants to make it look good. I figure she's the hairstylist and will do what's right. I get the tea or red wine depending on the time of day, and have a biscotti or two which is a nice touch. Amber also uses the hot towel when conditioning which I love. I have gotten massages here (Desiree was very good). I also LOVE Aveda products. Sure, they're more expensive but I wash my hair less often and have better quality. It keeps my color looking so fresh I don't have to go get it done for at least 8 weeks. A month or so ago I had bought the volumizing shampoo and hated it after a month, and they let me bring it back to exchange for another of the Color Conserve. That was extremely nice!!! I hadn't used that much of it and am a loyal customer and it was nice to be treated well. To cut down on cost of getting hair done I signed up for their email list and every week they send you a 20% off last minute appointments. I call when I get the email and see if there is an opening. There almost always is and that is how I save. I can pay 20% tip because I'm getting 20% off! LOVE it.

I would highly recommend Tiffany.. I've been seeing Tiffany for gel nails for a year now, after a former co-worker recommended her. Though I used to work in the downtown area, I no longer do; the salon is now way out of my way. But continuing with Tiffany has proven well worth the few-miles' drive. It didn't take me long to realize that it was okay--in fact Tiffany preferred it--to insist that she do my nails exactly as I want them, in terms of length, shape, color. (It's so nice not to be condescended to and put down for my persnickitiness!) She is not only highly professional and an expert at her craft, she's very comfortable to be with and has an easy and relaxed warmth. (I would want no less from someone who holds my hands for an hour at a time, but it sure is great not to be taken for granted.) I also like that there are no chemical fumes in this nail salon. (Apparently, all Aveda salons are this way, but it's been an improved experience for me.) I've also had Tiffany do two spa pedicures, which were a wonderful indulgence--the ultimate in relaxation, aesthetics and attention to detail. Oh, and I've had a massage as well--heavenly! I have found Suzanne (the Irish receptionist), as well as the other receptionists, staff, and even the owner, to be welcoming and professional as well. When I call in to make a schedule change, I'm always treated with total understanding and accommodation, rather than as a "PITA." L'Essence isn't the only salon I use (I have my hair done elsewhere--longstanding relationship with my hairdresser--and the same is true of my skincare/facials), but my experience with the salon has always been very positive, and I'm sorry I haven't written a review sooner. (Human nature usually dictates that we sound off about situations or services we DON'T like; we're not as inclined to cheer when a service has been satisfactory or exemplary.) I enjoy going to this historic house, where I'm always welcomed and pampered, and I would highly recommend Tiffany.

Totally recommend this salon. I have been a steady client of Jennifer's for 5+ years. I would not consider going to any place else. She does miracles with my hair. The building is very old de reno classic. The stAff friendly. Mindy did my friends hair and did a great job. Totally recommend this salon.

I've found the staff to be extremely friendly.. I've gone here to get my bangs trimmed and to get a Brazilian wax. I've found the staff to be extremely friendly. My actual waxing experience was great - very little pain and a really nice aesthetician.

The staff members are friendly and professional. If you have some money to burn and you are interested in pampering yourself, take advantage of L'Essence. The vital elements facial is not to be missed, nor is the Turkish Body Scrub (don't go for this treatment if you are shy). I have been a client at L'Essence for many years and enjoy the time I have spent at the Spa. They have a way of making you feel special each time you visit the Spa. The staff members are friendly and professional. If you are looking for someone to administer your service, request Linda. She is the best.
