definately didn't feel like just a number here. My husband gave me a gift certificate for a day of wellness at L'essence. I knew I was in for a treat when i drove up to the salon... a historical, victorian house, really beautiful. They use AVEDA products exclusively, which I personally love, (I'm a bit of a tree hugger). The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the treatment rooms were very nicely appointed and all very different and the spa services... excellent. I definately didn't feel like just a number here, they took time to find out my expectations and fullfilled them. They have a third floor spa relaxation/waiting area, that would be perfect for a girls night out. My color and haircut was exactly what I'd hoped for with the added benefit of a shoulder massage, hand massage and a little touchup of my makeup! I'll definately be back, Thank you, L'essence for making me feel special!

L'essence (more specifically Michelle) is the absolute best!. I am really picky about my eyebrows and have gone to a bunch of different salons to have them waxed, but L'essence (more specifically Michelle) is the absolute best! She is a perfectionist who never disappoints me. Everyone at the salon is very friendly, making my experience there always enjoyable. I have also had some other treatments there including facials and massages and they have always been pleasant as well.

its a relaxing salon. I love the Aveda products they use, its a relaxing salon and the people are friendly and nice. I love the scalp massages that Jennifer gives.

This is one of my favorite places. This is one of my favorite places in town to indulge myself. The staff are always so friendly, and they take great care of their customers, especially returning or frequent ones. I just had my hair cut and highlighted over the weekend with Jeannie, and my friends and family all said it was their favorite cut and color they've ever seen on me. Prior to that, their favorite was the LAST time Jeannie did my hair! As far as body treatments go, there are better places in town if you are looking for the true "day spa" experience, but their technicians are amazing. I am a self-proclaimed spa whore, so if I'm going to treat myself to something on vacation or have extra money, I will usually get a massage. And I have to honestly say that the best massage I've had anywhere in my life was the chakra balance massage given by Desiree. I think I actually had an out of body experience during it! Yeah, the prices are higher than most of us middle class slobs can afford, but it's worth it to me. Sure, I could get a cheaper cut and color at a Snip-in-the-box shop, but the overall experience is so much better at L'Essence. I can relax, have a glass of wine, and get into girlie mode. I have a massage, facial and pedi booked this weekend with my sister, and we just can't wait until our girls day!

I recommend this Salon to everyone!!. I love and cant wait to go to my Hair and Nail appts. Jennifer has done my hair for over 3 years now and is always the best. Jessica does my gel nails and they are PERFECT!! I love the whole Zen atmosphere. Front desk girls are great. Always willing to help out and real friendly. I recommend this Salon to everyone!!

Look forward to my appointments.. I have thick, course, wavy hair and MINDY does a fabulous job with my cut and color. L'essence is clean and neat and it always smells great! Look forward to my appointments.

I really feel pampered here!. I've been going to L'essence for five years now. I love the atmosphere at this Victorian House and I always get great color and cuts! I've never had a problem with parking and have parked on the street or in the back of the salon where there are a few private parking places. There is also a free lot directly across the street, however I've always found parking on the street right next to the salon. I really feel pampered here!

Very fun and energetic. I see Michelle for facials and waxing. She's great! Very fun and energetic. I have not received any other services there. The prices are a little high but a nice place to go to be pampered. Parking is kind of a pain. If you are not lucky enough to find street parking right by, you'll have to park across the street.

L'Essence saved me!!!. L'Essence saved me!!! Before I went there, I had a few bad haircuts in a row and then an atrocious one from a friend who was newly out from school.. Geannie, who has given beautiful cuts and styles every time, gave me a complete hair-makeover and made it possible for me to sleep again. I really like this salon, everyone is highly skilled, great atmosphere. I have a friend who gets great colorings from another stylist. This last haircut has lasted me about 3 months since I'm trying to grow my hair out. The products are wonderful as well at this salon. I go in confident that I will be satisfied, that is a great feeling.

you really get what you pay for here!. have looked for so long to find a decent hair salon. I finally found one. L'essence is in a beautiful Victorian house and Mo is a fantastic hair- dresser. Mo takes her time with my hair so I don't feel like I'm being rushed and that I don't matter. L'essence is a bit pricey but you really get what you pay for.
