It's tough to be a centrist in the NYC area. One can be for women's rights but the second one comments that perhaps Islamic terrorism is worrisome, people automatically point a finger and call you a right-wing hate monger. I'm a Ground Zero veteran, and believe in the right to defend your home, but also the right to choose, rights of all to have a legal relationship, and many beliefs that the liberal left believes are theirs alone. But I still think that we need to watch what's going on in the world. We are *not* the root of all evil. This country is made up of people from every nation in the world-why would something that is made up of the entire world be the worst of the world? But while we're reviled as evil, the same people who would mock us demand our help and money the moment something goes wrong elsewhere. Seriously, WTF is with that? Yes, we need to make sure there's peace. We also need to make sure that women can be safe from men who think they should be wearing scarves, veils, and head-to-toe burkhas. This movie is for those of us who see the threat and believe it needs to be paid attention to. To treat the USA like it's the bad stepchild and then demand it save the world -- where's the sense in that? The scenes at the colleges were great, mainly because I work at a college, and see the indoctrination for exactly what it is. I'm also refreshed to see something of a political mind that's not bent on destruction and venom. While the Moore character is whapped around by Grammer's Patton, it's clear that the good General is interested in educating his charge, not mocking him into submission. That's a big difference from how the left tries to get their point across -- if you don't agree with them, you're an idiot and are dangerous. I find myself thinking about the days of McCarthy, and wonder if the Left even sees itself repeating history. An American Carol is a must-see, no matter on which side of the fence you consider yourself to sit.
Pros: A balanced view, good-natured, amusing, really funny
Cons: Not in enough theaters.

If you are a totally PC type person, this movie is not for you. This is a slapstick, funny, full of one liners type of movie. Great stars, poking fun at the PC hype in our wonderful country. Stop taking yourself so seriously and go see this funny rendition of A Christmas Carol. If you don't laugh, then you need an attitude adjustment. Fun, fun, Fun & more FUN!
Pros: Funny!
Cons: None that I can think of...Don't be scared!
