I have been going to Tangerine Aveda since I moved here from Colorado over three years ago. I have gone to 4 different stylists there, and have found each one to be very professional, knowledgeable, and talented. Currently, Lauren is my stylist. She is great. She is always cheerful and upbeat. She listens and goes out of her way to give me the best hair service possible. My highlighting issues can be trying as it is difficult to get my hair where I want it to be, but Lauren has been able to work with my hair and get the color right. I would recommend her, as well as Stephanie to anyone.

definitely my favorite. I love the fragrance of eucalyptus/mint as soon as I walk through the door...I know that I'm in for some well deserved pampering! I've had haircuts, facials and massages at Aveda salons in both Reno and San Francisco. Tangerine Aveda is definitely my favorite! I need to make time to visit more often.

Tangerine STILL receives five stars from me. Tangerine STILL receives five stars from me...... I have returned to Tangerine twice since my initial review back in January and am still tickled pink with their staff's professionalism, the quality of the work that they do (makeup, hair, facials and product knowledge) and plan to return as often as possible.

I've been going to Tangerine for almost a year now. I've been going to Tangerine for almost a year now and I love it! After a myriad of meh to horrid haircuts in Tahoe and Reno I can 't tell you how happy I am to be stoked on my not so easy to deal with curly hair. I love my stylist, Renee, and the whole staff is very welcoming and nice. I enjoy my visits and for the first time in my life, I actually get my hair cut on a regular basis...no more waiting for my hair to become a huge unmanageable poofball! I also LOVE Aveda products now..I'm addicted. I have my husband loving it too (though he wasn't so happy at the price). Last time I was in they offered a free make-up consultation and I found yet another product I am in love with. Maybe its not the cheapest, but I find that the value is there...both for the quality of service and hair styling, but also with the products. My hair looks the best it ever has...and at about half the price I would've ended up paying when I lived in San Francisco. I won't go anywhere else as long as I stay in Reno. I think I need to explore the spa side of Tangerine next!

Amanda was my cutter and she listened to exactly what I want. This is in the new mall at the end of 431 at 395. I went here and got an excellent hair cut and took home some great Aveda products. Amanda was my cutter and she listened to exactly what I wanted and did it! I have yet to get colored here or have spa services, but the other clientelle had their LV bags and giant diamonds so I assume they do a good job!

They have the best facials in town. I love this place! They have the best facials in town. I've been seeing Stephanie for over two years now, and I am always satisfied with her work. It is very clean, service is superb, they have complimentry bevrages and snacks and even though it's on the pricey side, I feel it's worth it. They also sell aveda products, and I am a big fan of their lipgloss line.

It's a stylish and energetic place. I like getting my hair cut here. It's a stylish and energetic place. Lindy's willing to be creative, and appropriate, when I tell her I want something different but I don't know what it is.

Tangerine is great. Tangerine is great! I see Kristy and she always does a beautiful job on my hair color and cut. Terra has shaped my brows a few times and they always look fantastic, and I have crazy thick brows. The salon is relaxing and earthy. Only one star shy of 5 due to a sometimes surly receptionist. Everyone else is stellar!

A wonderful treat for those days when you need an escape. A wonderful treat for those days when you need an escape. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They greet you upfront and offer you a beverage right off the bat. I've experienced their facials and hair treatments, both are wonderful (I'm a little biased because I love Aveda products). The staff is also helpful at suggesting ways to address problem areas such as when I first moved to Reno and my skin kept drying out - they made several recommendations and not just on their products but what I should look for in my moisturizer, etc if I chose to buy something else. I thought this was wonderful especially since I'd never had dry skin before coming from the humid Southeast. Since I know Aveda is a more expensive product and would expect their salon/spa to be the same way I wasn't surprised at the price - however if you are unsure if this is in our range, check out their website as it lists the services/treatments and their prices. I definitely think you should pamper yourself at least once here if only to have their knowledgeable staff review your skin and offer their recommendations.

Terrible business practice. The first time I went to this spa, I will admit I really liked the hair stylist Renee. However, the price was a bit high $75.00 for a haircut and 5.00 Tip.....here's the kicker...i called back to make an appointment and the person on the phone who stated that she was the manager demanded a credit card...over the phone...in order to book my appointment. Since when did hair style salons become Dr.'s offices...or wait Dr.'s offices don't even have the Balls to ask for that over the phone. Even after telling her how unprofessional that was and that they just lost a customer...she didn't care....so obviously you are just a number and a dollar $ to them....Truthfully, I hope a company like this goes out of business.....but I wish the best for Renee...because she was a great stylist..... I do recommend the Paul Mitchell Salon that just opened up....they are reasonably priced $40.00 and do a very good job....
