What a Joke. If you would like new furnature )DO NOT buy at ashley furnature in Reno. You would get faster delivery (if you get it at all from them) by getting it in Salt Lake City Utah or Boise Idaho and the delivery charge would probably be less. If you have to deal with the owner Michael Jedlowski good luck He is awol from the store with no way of getting ahold of him. Ask for a manager they are all busy. but if your lucky they will get back with you at the end of the day. I have only been waiting three months for my furnature with a possable delivery of next month. Think I'll call Boise. see how that goes
do not buy furniture from here!!!!.
I ordered a bedroom set that i thought was a good deal.
they have messed up EVERYTHING WITH MY ORDER!
It has been 2 months and I still do not have my bedroom set
I have receive 4 delivery dates so far and they keep calling me three days before the date and say the manufacture is delayed
I finaly received part of it and it was damaged. so instead of just sending me a new one with the rest of my order they said its policy to have a tech come look at it. but they dont have one in this area so I have to wait 3 weeks for one to come here.
When i call the store the manager is ALWAYS IN A MEETING OR TRAINING and i have left 5 messages for Larry and still no response.
two people from their customer service (meghan and bailey) where very rude to me.
they refuse to give me the manufactures phone number or the owners.
Lorinda Carpenter. It has been a while (this year, but...) since we purchased our new dining room set from Ashley Furniture in Reno, Nevada. I have to tell you all that there is a sales associate there who is absolutely wonderful, and whom we will continue to do business with in the future. Her name is Lorinda Carpenter. Not only did she assist me with exactly what I was looking for, but she was very professional and didn't try to rip us off. Lorinda is very personable person who is in the exact job field that most "customer service" representatives don't have a clue about. She deserves to be commended and I hope the manager realizes a good thing he has. I know I am grateful for her help. She even gave us her cell phone number. We live out in Fallon, Nevada and the delivery was not only on time, but the delivery guys put everything together in record time and left nothing behind. I recommend this store and this sales associate with two thumbs up!
Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have had but one experience with Ashley Furniture. In mid September I bought furniture promised for delivery by October 26 upon Ashley express, unambiguous understanding that I needed the furniture for a specific purpose by November 1. Long story short...no furniture, not even knowledge on the part of Ashley as to where it all was and when it would all be available for delivery---nothing---no clue. Upon cancellation of my order (since I had to buy the same elsewhere for my November 1st deadline) Ashley demands a 30% cancellation fee, citing the problems with the manufacturer as the cause. Ashley admits I am in no way responsible for these problems, but insists on a 30% cancellation fee without any ability to explain to me the legal or contractual justification for such a charge (my Purchase Agreement provides them no such right). Do you want to subjected to this? Caveat emptor
Oblivious to customer service.
My wife and I bought a sectional sofa here. The sales lady, Tara, was terrific. Since I currently live out of state and wanted the sofa for my new Reno home, I asked them to hold the check for two days so I could transfer money from my California account to my Reno account, which they agreed to. They put the check through anyway. I phoned Larry, who was identified as the manager, and he told me not to worry, that they would put it through again, now that the money had been transferred. I called to arrange a delivery date,
which they made. I purchased a round trip air ticket from my home to Reno to be there for the delivery.
The next day I called back to check on something and they told me the delivery had been cancelled because I owed $17 for the check not going through. I faxed Larry a letter telling him that as a result of their cancellation of my confirmed delivery, I would now incur a $25 charge to change my flight. While I suggested that he waive the check charge in light of that, I told him my wife really wanted the couch, and if he insisted on the fee, I gave him my credit card information to charge the amount to the card. The store's response was that I had to come INTO the store with a check for the $17. I cancelled the order and wrote the sales lady explaining why. No one ever got back to me. Why no one at this store would waive a $17 fee (since they said they would hold my check) rather than lose a $1800 sale on a sofa is beyond me,
but I would not shop here again. I had previously furnished my dining room at this store.
