I started to go to this school but quit on my 3rd day. Their was 12 of us trying to learn how to back up in a straight line in a beater rig. We were supposed to take turns but there were 2 guys in some kind of prison release program that kept hogging the truck. The owner's advice was to "get out there and fight for a turn." I had to put a stop payment on my check because of their "no refund" policy. A couple of other guys lost their money. The place is a TOATAL RIP OFF. I am going to start at another school on 12-24-12. I need the cdl for my job and it would take months if I stayed here.. Stay away from this place.

Jimmy claims 100% success rate and he is right. Because he and his staff will work with you as long as need to ensure you will attain your class a. It also helps that 95% of your time is spent in truck, and they will not kick you out like the other schools.Desert Truck Driving School is truly the best. Thanks Jimmy.

How retarded does the owner of Desert Truck School think we all are? Most all of the remarks are from Desert Truck School under different user names. Five of them were even posted the same day! It is beyond obvious, a total sales pitch. The only honest remark is from Bill M. He nailed it when he said he was embarrassed for the owner. I looked at this school. It's a junk yard. But don't take my word for it go look at the other schools, then go see this dump. Make sure they show you the trucks and the practice yard. Any buisness that tries to pump themselves up with false information on message boards truely can't be trusted.

Desert Truck Driving school is like none other. Jimmy and his staff really care about the students. I wouldn't even bother with the other schools. Thank you so much Jimmy, you are the best instructor to date.

This is a great Truck Driving School. You are granted the opportunity to drive the truck on your very first day at school. The instructors are really good and very patient with the students , where students are encouraged to work hard on every aspects of truck driving. The administrators of the school consider the difficult financial situations that some students are trying to cope with ; hence the school administrative staff go out of their way to accommodate the student's need. A wonderful training environment where we have BBQ every Thursdays and even on weekends too. You really get your money's worth when you study at this school , they will continue to train you until you get your CDL at no extra cost. Isn't that cool??

Desert Truck Driving School is the only way to go. They don't kick you out if you fail your driving test, like the other school in the area does. You just keep taking it until you pass. Desert is flexible and reasonable, and a fun place to just hang out even.

I don't know what that Kenworthbill is talking about, I went to Desert after checking out 2 other schools in the area and I found Desert to way surpass all the others. The staff was great, they go over and beyond to make sure you have everything you need to be sucessful before you graduate out of their school. Their goal is to put the best drivers out on the road. While I was attending school at Desert they had 3 different Trucking companys show up for recruiting and talking to the recruiters they made it very clear that this was their favorite school in the area because of the quality of drivers they put out. My husband went to Nevada truck school and was totally put off by them, he felt they misrepresented theirselves. When he graduated from their school he received a class A licences with restrictions only allowing him to drive an automatic truck, then they told him for more money they could get that restriction lifted. He ended up going to Desert to get the restriction lifted and the owner (Jimmy) put him through the class at no cost. Desert is truely a great school and they have no hidden costs what so ever. I would recommend them to anybody who is serious about driving truck.
