Today was my first day of experiencing what a true slice of pizza tastes like. Not only was the food delicious, but the people working there are so fun and kind. Even though I had never been there before, I felt like I had been a valued customer for years. It is so welcoming. I even got to learn how to make homemade cheese. The best I have ever tasted. They have made a customer for life out of me :)

This is the best slice of pizza, calzone, hoagie rolls...ANYTHING YOU ORDER! You won't find a better place this side of New York that serves their food completely handmade in house, with a sense of humor only found in the East Coast, and for cheap!
I got two slices of pizza today: one pepperoni and one cheese. After I ate it, the owner invited me to the back to see them make their own mozzarella directly from the curd. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to get out in Sparks on Baring Blvd and order from Big Apple Pizza. Sit down, take a load off, talk with the owners and see why this is the best pizza shop in the West!
- Pros: Everything is hand made in-house!
- Cons: Few visitors?
Absolutely incredible food - great options for celiacs too

The food is absolutely delicious!! We ordered a pepperoni pizza, stromboli and a sub sandwich. Everything was soooo good - it was hard to stop eating it was so good. Great thin, NY-style crust. Stromboli was to die for - huge portions so we had leftovers. My mom has celiac disease and they had a very good GF pizza. They were so in tune with cooking GF... we had absolutely no worries about cross-contamination like you do when you go out to many restaurants. Very friendly staff - great interactions with the customers. We loved it!
