Fantastic artist. I had done my research. I wanted an artist well known and accomplished at wildlife tattoos as I was having two mockingbirds tattood across my back and shoulders.

A 6 hour session later and I came away with birds so realistic you would think you could see them breathing.

Almost 2 years later I find myself in Dallas, TX getting another tattoo on the inside of my arm and when the artist asks me about my mockingbird tattoo and I tell him it was done by Apache Jil, he says, "wow...in Reno? She's amazing". That's when you know you have found a good artist..when they get the respect of other tattoo artists.

Best tattoo shop ever!. After years of just O.K. tattoos. I went on the internet to find an awesome shop. I came across "Pirate Tattoo". Their artwork on the website was very impressive. My husband booked an appointment and his new tattoo is a 15 out of 10. The lines are clean, his shade work is spetacular and color is bright and vibrant. We won't go anywhere else! We actually drive almost 3 hours just to have work done by Josh. Each tattoo artist has their own style with superb work. They are honest and won't tattoo just anything. If they don't like your tat idea, they won't do it! I have started a full back piece and even my grandmother who hates tat's thinks it's beautiful work.

Can wait for more ink!

Best tattoo shop in town!. Pirate tattoo is easily the best tattoo shop in town. The tattoo artists are friendly, professional, and clean, and they only do the best of the best tattoos. Each artist has their own style and they will give you their honest opinions about your tattoo selections, and help you find the right design that works for you. They won't just do any flash-crap tattoo because they want the money... they stand behind their work and want it to be perfect.

I travel to Reno every few months from 600 miles away just to get tattooed by Josh. He is the master of bright color and new school art. Josh is excellent at his job because he always understands what I am looking for and he does extensive research when designing a new tattoo. He takes his career very seriously, and is a perfectionist when it comes to his art.

THE BEST TATTOOS FROM COAST TO COAST!!!. I have had over 15 tattoos done. Within my 53 years I have had people from 5 different states work on me and have NEVER had a more professional experience at a shop as I did at Pirate Tattoos. I have had over six tatoos done there by two people. Jil is just a wealth of tattoo knowledge and hilarious too. My wife Barb has had a couple of pieces done also. She had a beautiful back piece done that she loves. I can not recommend this shop more. It's perfect for your first tat or to add on to your personal mural!!! EVERYONE at the shop is friendly and helpful. Now that Apache Jil OWNS it , it has a great atmosphere. I can't wait to go back-MOJO

Friendly people and very knowledgeable, the shop is very clean with a great atmosphere!

Apache Jill, did a portrait on my arm, she nailed it! EXCELLENT work in a nice and very clean environment.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a one of a kind tattoo!

Great Tattoos and People!!!!. I went into Pirate Tattoo because they have done some awesome work on my friends.. I had a pretty complex tattoo I wanted on my leg and so I took in a drawing that I found online to see what they could do.. WOW! Garrett made this design WAY BETTER than the picture. He changed up a few things to make it more of a custom piece, and added a little more color to really make it jump out of the skin.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO EVERYONE!! Great service, art, and atmosphere!!!

Dissapointed. The guys were nice but the work sucked sorry.. I got two nautical stars on my wrists.. the lines arent even close to being straight.. and they missed a bunch of spots where the color is supposed to be.. It looks like when he was trying to draw the star he had a seizure !

irresponsible hate anthem. I visted Pirates tat shop hoping to get a good inkin' at a friendly enviroment ,with dedicated indviduals who look out for their customers, and make sure the work they do is 100%...such is not the case...I now have a half finished tattoo, that someone was making look fantastic, until that is, they decided to go on ahead and mosie(that's right I said it!) mosie on outta town and decide not to finish his work. I now have a half-ass piece of art on my body that everyone else now wants me to pay and arm and a leg for just to finish it. This is a heed to people who choose to get body ink done, make sure the person that is assisting you is dedicated, willing to offere his services and most important of all....CALLS YOU IF HE"S GOING TO SKIP TOWN!
