Big Mistake

I started a small clothing line and Action was recommended by an aquaintaince who felt Action would be able to fulfill my printing and embroidery needs. When I first sat down with Action I was extremely excited to work with them because I was assured that they could meet my needs. Once I was committed to them it all went down hill. I should've figured it out after the first print run when my design wasn't even close to the sizing and placement agreed on from their comp. (I was told the printing would be exact to the comps) of course after the print I was told differently. I was also told no one in town could do what I wanted to do. Shortly after I felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Not only wasn't I given an example (or any example of any design or embroidery before production other than a comp) of what my shirt would look like before printing continued so that I could make any changes they just printed the merchandise. My fault for not asking for one but, as I know now that's not industry standard. Feeling extremely rushed and with a cold one week i TOLD, not asked them to hold off on printing anything until I could sit down and discuss some things. The following week not only did they print what I told them not to they took it upon themselves to use my inventory without permission to do an embroidery sew out on one of my hats. Once again not industry standard. Not to mention as a new company I need a few starting items to see what sells not 51 of the same just to be in a lower price point. I somehow let them print 200 shirts 2 designs that i'll never be able to get what i want out of them. When I should've only printed 20-25 of each to see if they sell. That's not the way Action works though. Quantity before quaulity seems to be the norm there. Because of Actions lack of care for my needs and concerns I ventured out to find a compitant screenprinter and embroidery company. When I told Action about the move they had nothing but, excuses on what happened. The salesmanager also felt the need to try and discredit the current company I'm using and I quote "Warned me about them." Warn me about what? I also mentioned other companies I talked to and nothing good was said about any of them. One in general I was told was going bankrupt when in fact they aren't. I approched Absolute Graphix. They were extremely eager to work with me. Absolute Graphix can do and has done anything and everything that Action said they couldn't do. They have the largest screens and the best puffed empbroidery in town. Both thngs Action lacks. Absolute has also bent over backwards to step out of the box and make sure I'm 100% happy with all of my products and don't nickel and dime me for every little thingwhich is very important starting any new business. I've been hands on through the whole process including sitting with their graphic designer tweaking designs to helping thread string for my sew outs to brainstorming with the owner and his salesmanager. Very personal. And one more thing, through the grapevine Action feels the need to talk crap and express to certain people that I was a pain in the ass to work with. Of course I was. No one in their right mind wants to get ripped off or feel taken advantage of, which I did in my experience with them.
If you want a true hands on personal experience with your clothing line or just a trinket Absolute Graphix is by far the place to go. No hassels, No hidden anything and they care about the customers needs more than the month end quota. I learned a very expensive lesson using Action. Please don't make the same mistake if you are wanting to start a clothing line or just have something printed.
