Hotels >Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort
The quintessential luxury resort for the outdoor enthusiast..
Bordered by dense forest and peaceful lakefront beaches, this is one impressive log cabin. The large but surprisingly warm lobby has rustic, wood-beamed ceilings, leather armchairs and small wooden rocking chairs--it is centered around an enormous river rock fireplace.
Guest room appointments mirror those found in the lobby. They are comfortable and inviting with their gingham-inspired fabrics, sparse wooden furniture and wilderness views. If you love outdoor activity, this is the kind of place you'll never want to leave. The lodge has a private beach, jogging paths, bike trails and two golf courses. To help you fully unwind, there is a full-service spa offering everything from massage and facials to aromatherapy. As if that isn't enough, the property houses a casino, as well. This is Lake Tahoe, after all.
Over rated?. Yes, the hotel is located convenient to Lake Tahoe, and it is beautiful there. But I was not impressed with the services at all. We were there for 3 days, and the electricity was cut off due to maintenance on 3rd day. I would appreciated the warming when we were checking in. Luckily, We were already packed. I understand We were there for off season (May), but I was amazed to see how slow the wait staffs were!! We were not the only ones getting upset due to slow services. And rooms... The hotel must be build for a long time ago because I can hear everything next doors doing. I thought I had someone in my room drying her hairs!! Only thing was that I had good spa staffs.
Good Times. The Hyatt is always a good place to frequent for gambling or lodging...especially with the great spa services! Summer time or winter times- doesn't matter....shakem up!
Major Disappointment. Don't be fooled- this hotel does not sit directly on the lake- the image that they show on the internet is a picture of their beach site, not the hotel. We were also disappointed when we learned that they are currently under construction (there is no pool or sauna). Instead they have tractors that arrive promptly at 7am. Needless to say, we did not get very good sleep. The room was clean and the service was friendly, but this hotel was a major major disappointment, especially for the price.
High class gambling getaway. If you're tired of Vegas, but you love to gamble, I would recommend going to Tahoe. You're out in beautiful N. California and next to one of the pretties lakes in the country. Also, you can party and gamble at will. Great combination, and this Hyatt is top notch for staying there.
